Probiotic VS Postbiotic

The main difference between heat-killed postbiotics and probiotics is that heat- killed postbiotics are non-living bacterial metabolites, whereas probiotics are living micro-organisms.

While both provide health benefits, postbiotics are proven to be more shelf stable and have a longer shelf life than probiotics. Additionally, heat-killed postbiotics may be a better option for consumers who are sensitive to live bacteria or who have weakened immune systems as there is no risk of infection from non-living bacteria.

My Oral Microbiome

Your oral microbiome refers to the diverse and complex community of micro-organisms that inhabit the mouth, including bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microbes. These micro-organisms interact with each other, and the host environment, to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

The oral microbiome is the second largest host in the body consisting of hundreds of different species.

The composition and function of the oral microbiome is influenced by a variety of factors such as, diet, oral hygiene practises, genetics and lifestyle.
